Sarah has been working at Guernsey CAMHS as a family therapist since 1998 and has been the clinical lead for the past five years.
‘She is an angel, actually,’ said her nominator Mags Power.
‘Sarah was the first person our daughter opened up to. Thanks to Sarah, we found out about our daughter’s disabilities. She’s been Jess’ voice at times.’
Her nominator was also particularly taken with Mrs Mead’s willingness to switch from office meetings to home visits when her daughter was struggling, as well as the incredible effort she put into maintaining an open line of communication with the family, even while Mrs Mead was on holiday.
‘Without [CAMHS], we would never be in this situation, in this happy place.’
‘I’m feeling delighted to have received the nomination, for simply doing a job which I enjoy immensely. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a dedicated team of health professionals working with me at CAMHS,’ said Mrs Mead of her nomination.
