Pride of Guernsey: Andy and Elaine Creed

ANDY and Elaine Creed are doting grandparents to eight children, according to their future daughter-in-law.

Holly Baldwin nominated the couple for the Channel Islands
Co-operative Society-sponsored Grandparent/s of the Year award because she said they went above and beyond to do anything they could for their family and each of the grandchildren was loved equally.
‘All the grandchildren love them and love going to their house,’ she said.
‘They took the whole family away to Gran Canaria last year and it was a unforgettable family holiday for us all. They deserve to know how much we appreciate them.’
Miss Baldwin met partner Tom within three weeks of coming to Guernsey four-and-a-half years ago and they are due to marry soon.
They have two children – Roman, 3, and Darcy, 20 months.
‘They welcomed me into their family straight away,’ she said.
‘They are happy to babysit whenever asked. They give us lifts to the airport when we are going away.
‘We have lovely family barbecues at their house and always have Christmas dinner there. I couldn’t ask for better in-laws or grandparents to my children.’
