Pride of Guernsey: Milly Lowin

A UNIVERSALLY LIKED primary school teacher at St Mary and St Michael, Milly Lowin, has been nominated for the second year running for the Garenne-sponsored Teacher of the Year award.

She was nominated this time around by David Northrop, who praised Miss Lowin for her assistance in helping his daughter to adjust to joining primary school.
‘Mrs Lowin has been our daughter’s teacher since September 2016. She has really helped our daughter get into her first year of primary school, during which I have seen a massive improvement in our daughter’s reading and writing skills and her social interaction with her friends in class.
Mrs Lowin is an absolute credit to her school and is liked by all the pupils she teaches,’ he said.
